Plumber Referral Agreement

Version 2026-10-11

How this works

We send you customers who need plumbing work. You quote the job, do the work, and bill the customer directly, then pay us a referral fee on what you collect. You can turn down any lead, and either of us can end this at any time.

1. Parties

This agreement is between The Pocono Plumber LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company, 502 W 7th Street, Suite 100, Erie, PA 16502 ("we" or "us"), and the plumber signing below ("you"). We do not perform plumbing work. You are a licensed Maryland master plumber who wishes to receive our referrals.

2. Referrals

We will send you leads as they become available, with no guaranteed volume. You may decline any lead without penalty. For each job you accept, you contract with, perform the work for, and bill the customer directly. We are not a party to that contract and do not supervise your work.

3. Referral Fee

3.1 Fee options. You choose one option when you sign, and it applies to every referred job.

  • Option A: 20% of the Job Total.
  • Option B: 40% of the Job Profit. You keep 60%.

3.2 Job Total is everything the customer pays for the job, excluding sales tax and refunds.

3.3 Job Profit is the Job Total minus your documented costs for materials, permit fees, and job-specific rentals or disposal. Labor and overhead are not deducted. If a job has no profit, no fee is owed.

3.4 Payment. The fee is owed only on money you actually collect. Please pay within 3 business days of each customer payment (Option A) or of the final payment (Option B), by Zelle to The Pocono Plumber LLC at info@thepoconoplumber.com (Zelle tag: thepoconoplumber). Include the customer's name or address with each payment, along with a copy of the invoice (and cost receipts for Option B).

3.5 Repeat customers. If a customer we referred hires you again within 24 months, the same fee applies.

4. Licensing and Insurance

You will keep your Maryland master plumber license current, pull required permits, follow applicable codes, and carry general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, plus any other insurance Maryland law requires. Please let us know within 2 business days if your license or insurance lapses, and we will pause leads until it is restored.

5. Responsibility

You are responsible for claims that result from your own work, materials, employees, or subcontractors, including reasonable costs we incur because of such a claim. We are responsible for our own mistakes, and neither of us is responsible for the other's. If a customer raises a complaint, we will pass it to you promptly and give you the first opportunity to respond.

6. General Terms

6.1 Verification. We contact only plumbers we have already confirmed are licensed in Maryland and insured. This agreement takes effect when you sign. If we cannot locate your license or confirm with the State of Maryland that you are insured, we will contact you by email or text and hold leads until it is resolved.

6.2 Ending the agreement. Either party may end this agreement at any time, for any reason, by email or text. Fees on referrals already made remain due.

6.3 Disputes. We will both first try to resolve any disagreement in good faith by talking directly. This agreement is governed by Maryland law, and the state courts of Baltimore County, Maryland will handle any dispute that cannot be resolved.

6.4 Other terms. We are separate businesses, not partners or employer and employee. You will use customer information only to serve that customer. This is our complete agreement, and changes must be agreed in writing (email is fine). Typing your name and checking the boxes below serves as your signature.

Complete and sign

Only your name, email, and phone number are needed. We have already verified your license and insurance.

We save the date, time, and IP address with your signature for both our records.
